The God of our Fathers

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against His anointed. (Psalm 1:1,2) Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? (Job 38:2) Call unto Me, and I will answer thee; and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3) I am the bread of life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst. (John 6:35) I, even I, am He that comforteth you. Who art thou, that forgettest the LORD thy maker, Who hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth? (Isaiah 51:12,13) Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee. And before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee. (Jeremiah 1:5) Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. (Job 38:4) Who hath laid the measures thereof? If thou knowest. Or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the cornerstone thereof? (Job 38:5,6) Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? Or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? (Job 38: 16) Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? Declare, if thou knowest it all. (Job 38:18) Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, (Job 38:22) which I made with thee? (Job 40:15) Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who hath given understanding to the heart? (Job 38:36) I the LORD do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7) Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? Or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? (Job 39: 13) Hast thou given the horse strength? Hast thou clothed His neck with thunder? (Job 39:19) Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom? Doth the eagle mount up at thy command? (Job 39:26,27) Canst thou draw out Leviathan with a hook, (Job 41:1) which I made with thee? (Job 40:15) Or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? (Job 41:1) His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. (Job 41:15,16) Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seathing pot or caldron. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. (Job 41:19-21) His heart is firm as a stone. (Job 41:24) He esteemeth iron as straw; and brass as rotten wood. (Job 41:27) Darts are counted as stubble; he laugheth at the shaking of a spear. (Job 41:29) I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion. (Job 41:12) Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. (Job 41:33) Shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? None is so fierce that dare stir him up. Who then is able to stand before Me? (Job 41:9,10) I, am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared. The LORD of hosts is His name. (Isaiah 51:15) I am the LORD, and there is none else; there is no God beside Me. I girded thee, though thou hast not known Me. (Isaiah 45:5) I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace, and create evil. I the LORD do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7) Declaring the end from the beginning; and from ancient times the things which are not yet done, saying: “My counsel shall stand; and I will do all My pleasure.” (Isaiah 46:10) But now, thus saith the LORD that created thee; and He that formed thee: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee. I have called thee by thy name – thou art Mine. (Isaiah 43:1)

Blessed be the God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and amen. (Psalm 41:13) Thou art the God that doest wonders. Thou hast declared Thy strength among the people. (Psalm 77:14) I know that Thou canst do everything! And that no thought can be withholden from Thee. (Job 42:2) When I consider Thy heavens: the work of Thy fingers; the moon, and the stars: which Thou hast ordained; What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? (Psalm 8:3,4) The LORD hath His way in the whirlwind, and in the storm; and the clouds are the dust of His feet. He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry. And drieth up all the rivers. The mountains quake at Him; and the hills melt. The earth is burned at His presence; yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. (Nahum 1:3-5) By the breath of God frost is given; and the broad waters become frozen. (Job 37:10, K.J.V./N.I.V.) As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child, even so thou knowest not the works of God Who maketh all. (Ecclesiastes 11:5) Oh the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out! (Romans 11:33) Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God! (Psalm 90:2) The heavens shall praise Thy wonders, O LORD; Thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. (Psalm 89:5) Who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened? (Psalm 89:6) Thou rulest the raging of the sea; when the waves thereof arise Thou stillest them. (Psalm 89:9) The heavens are Thine! The earth also. As for the world and the fullness thereof, Thou hast founded them. The north, and the south, Thou hast created them! (Psalm 89:11,12) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handiwork. (Psalm 19:1) Day after day they pour forth speech! Night after night they display knowledge! (Psalm 19:2, N.I.V.) By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. (Psalm 33:6) He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap. He layeth up the depth in storehouses. (Psalm 33:7) He spake, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood fast. (Psalm 33:9) What is man, that Thou art mindful of Him? (Psalm 8:4) But ye have received the Spirit of adoption. (Romans 8:15) And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying: “Abba! Father.” (Galatians 4:6) Oh how great is Thy goodness, which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee! Which Thou hast wrought for them which trust in Thee before the sons of men. (Psalm 31:19) The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger. But they that seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:10) O thou of little faith! Wherefore didst thou doubt? (Matthew 14:31) Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard? That the everlasting God, the LORD, the creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding! He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. (Isaiah 40:28,29) Trust in Him at all times, ye people. Pour out your heart before Him! (Psalm 62:8) For this God, is our God; forever and ever. He will be our guide, even unto death. (Psalm 48:14)
